The first quilt you might recognize as Carol Doak's Y2K pattern. I added a few more blocks around the edges to finish off the squares. Without them, the quilt looked incomplete and I hate when that happens.
The second quilt is a BOM from a local quilt shop. In order to set the blocks on point, I needed to add another block which was the center Mariner's Compass. I am happy with the result, however all those bias edges were not such a good idea. Lesson learned-need to use more starch. (Don't worry, I laundered both quilts before giving them away.)
